Sorry to tell you this but there is no such thing as unlimited web hosting. Meaning, when a web hosting provider advertises unlimited bandwidth, disk space, and basically everything.. Don't believe it. It's nothing but a marketing technique to get customers who are new to sign up with them. Sadly, some established webmasters fall for this too. Since you are reading this article, hopefully this won't be you!

First, unlimited web hosting doesn't exist for many reason, some are:

    1. You can't fill one single server with a lot of data, neither can you allow usage of "unlimited" bandwidths. Even servers with 100TB connections have bandwidth limits, nothing is unlimited.
    2. If unlimited existed why aren't companies such as Google and Microsoft taking advantage of this? Why do they have so many data centers with thousands of servers?
    3. Even if unlimited disk space and bandwidth existed, a server is limited through RAM and CPU.

So, how can your hosting provider limit you from using the fake "unlimited everything" they advertised?
Simple, they put other limits. One such limits include the amount of files and folders you can have on your hosting space. There is always a limit, the most used is basically putting a limit on how much CPU you can use for your site.

Next time you are looking for web hosting providers, be sure to stay away from these types of host because they will bring you problems in the long run.
