After the release of windows vista and due to its disappointment now Microsoft is going to give SP3 the final major upgrade of the XP operating system. The final version of Windows XP SP3 remains scheduled for delivery sometime in the first half of 2008, the company’s spokeswoman said. She also warned off casual users from trying the preview. “As this is a release candidate, we strongly encourage only those who are comfortable installing prerelease code to download Windows XP SP3,” she said. According to the white paper, the Download Center version of XP SP3 will weight in at about 580MB; the version downloaded and installed via Windows Update, will be much smaller, typically around 70MB.

Mobile Phones Messaging Will Reach 2.3 Trillion Next Year

The popularity of mobile messaging is expected to continue to grow over the next few years even faster than the revenue. Number of messages sent worldwide from mobile phones will reach 2.3 trillion next year, a 19.6% jump from this year, Gartner predicted. Instead Revenues in the same timeframe will increase 15.7% to $60.2 billion. People in the Asia/Pacific region and Japan are the heaviest users of mobile messaging; sending 1.5 trillion missives this year and a projected 1.7 trillion next year, according to Gartner (a market research firm person).In North America, the number of messages is expected to increase to 301 billion next year from 189 billion this year. In Western Europe, mobile messaging also is on the rise, reaching 215 billion in 2008 from 202 billion this year.
